EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) - Three people were injured after a car crashed into a train in Rincon.
According to the Effingham County Sheriff's Office (ECSO), a little after 8 a.m. deputies were called out to McCall Road, near Blandford Elementary for a crash involving a train.
Information provided to ECSO indicates the driver of the vehicle failed to yield to the slow-moving train that was conducting a track inspection when the crash occurred.
The 45-year-old female driver was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.
The two other passengers in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
