There's nothing quite like driving around beautiful, scenic highways, car windows rolled down and your favorite music turned up as you cruise along gorgeous stretches of road, whether on a road trip with friends or for a solo trip to enjoy a sunny day.
According to a list compiled by LoveExploring, the "most scenic road" in all of Georgia is U.S. 17, also known as Coastal Highway, which gives drivers a stunning snapshot of the coastal beauty the Peach State has to offer. The highway passes through several eastern states as well as popular Georgia destinations like Savannah and Brunswick.
Here's what LoveExploring had to say about this beautiful stretch of scenery:
"The Peach State's island-scattered coastline is sorely underrated, but those who take to Coastal Highway US 17 can get a taste for it. Pine trees and red cedars fringe the road, which slips past pretty cities like Brunswick and crosses the Altamaha River, the Butler River, and more. Detours take drivers to Georgia's driftwood-scattered Golden Isles (of which Jekyll Island is a favorite), while the bold Sidney Lanier Bridge is not to be missed."
